Fenchurch is an example of the A! class terrier built for the LBSCR to work local passenger services. It was built in Brighton in 1872 and in 1898 was moved to Newhaven Docks where it spent most of its working life. It was brought back into passenger service to pull passenger trains on the weight restricted hayling Island branch and when the branch closed in 1963, Fenchurch was the oldest loco working on BR services at 91 years old!

It was bought by the Bluebell railway in 1964 and is used to haul very light passenger services or one coach specials.
